| Begin Westbound Nevada 160 shield assembly just south of the U.S. 95 junction near Indian Springs. Even though this shield marks Nevada 160 as an east-west route, it really loops around by traveling south into Pahrump and then east into the southern part of the Las Vegas metropolitan area. So, it almost seems like an error to call this westbound, but there is enough of a southwesterly curve here to justify calling it westbound at this point. Note the 70 mile-per-hour speed limit, which is common for two-lane highways in Nevada such as this one. Photo taken 1/21/02.
