Utah 308 is the legislatively defined route that exists solely to provide entrance to Kodachrome Basin State Park. There are several routes like this in Utah that do not connect to another state facility and are therefore orphans. The legislation reads that Utah 308 begins "From a local road at the south boundary of Kodachrome Basin State Park northerly to where pavement ends and one way traffic begins."
