Camping in Rocky Mountain National Park<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Rocky Mountain National Park has established five drive-in campgrounds with 585 campsites, and there are about 200 additional backcountry campsites available to visitors. For more information about camping in Rocky Mountain National Park, visit the National Park Service website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Timber Creek Campground (8,900 ft.)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Located on the Western side of the park, Timber Creek Campground offers 98 campsites located along the Colorado River in the Kawuneeche Valley. The campground is booked on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations taken. The camping fee is a nominal $20\/night when the water is on and $14\/night when the water is off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Find It<\/strong>: Timber Creek Campground is located on US Highway 34, approximately 10 miles north of Grand Lake. Map it<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moraine Park Campground (8,160 ft.)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The only year-round campground located within the park, Moraine Park Campground is surrounded by a ponderosa pine forest above the meadows of Moraine Park. The campground has 244 reservable sites during the summer, and 77 sites available for booking on a first-come, first-served basis during the winter. the camping fee is $18\/night. Find It<\/strong>: Moraine Park Campground is located on Bear Lake Road approximately two and a half miles south of Beaver Meadows Entrance Station. Map it<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Longs Peak Campground (9,500 ft.)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The highest-elevation campground in the park, Longs Peak Campground offers 26 campsites. The campground is always booked on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations taken. Longs Peak Campground is the best place to camp before hiking Longs Peak, with the trailhead located only a short distance away. The camping fee is $26\/night when the water is on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glacier Basin Campground (8,500 ft.)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Offering 13 group sites and 150 individual sites, Glacier Basin Campground accepts reservations as well as first-come, first-served bookings. For a group site, expect to pay $4\/night\/person, and for an individual site, expect to pay $26\/night. Make a reservation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Find It<\/strong>: Glacier Basin Campground and its group sites are located on Bear Lake Road, about six miles south of the Beaver Meadows Entrance Station. Map it<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aspenglen Campground (8,200 ft.)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Located walking distance from Fall River Visitor Center, Aspenglen Campground accepts summer reservations for campers for its 53 campsites. If you book a campsite here, be aware that you’ll truly be one with nature and your cell phone will not work. The camping fee is $26\/night when the water is on. Make a reservation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
