For more information about camping in Rocky Mountain National Park, visit the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nps.gov\/romo\/planyourvisit\/camping.htm\" target=\"_blank\">National Park Service website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Know before you go<\/strong>: Be sure to check Rocky Mountain National Park\u2019s current reservation requirements and&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.recreation.gov\/timed-entry\/10086910\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>make your reservation at Recreation.gov<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Timber Creek Campground (8,900 ft.)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Located on the Western side of the park, Timber Creek Campground offers 98 campsites located along the Colorado River in the Kawuneeche Valley. The campground is booked on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations taken. The camping fee is a nominal $20\/night when the water is on and $14\/night when the water is off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Find It<\/strong>: Timber Creek Campground is located on US Highway 34, approximately 10 miles north of Grand Lake. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Timber+Creek+Campground\/@40.3785108,-105.8542658,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x87699cf4d702262d:0x6da02aaec2f3e155\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Map it<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Moraine Park Campground (8,160 ft.)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The only year-round campground located within the park, Moraine Park Campground is surrounded by a ponderosa pine forest above the meadows of Moraine Park. The campground is always booked on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations taken. Longs Peak Campground is the best place to camp before hiking Longs Peak, with the trailhead located only a short distance away. If you book a campsite here, be aware that you&#8217;ll truly be one with nature and your cell phone will not work.
