With 1,346 surface acres of deep blue waters, Shadow Mountain Lake beckons outdoor enthusiasts to explore. Whether power boating, jet skiing, sailing, kayaking or canoeing, you\u2019ll find plenty of ways to boat along the vast expanse of this lake. Drop a fishing<\/a> line into the sparkling waters of Shadow Mountain Lake to reel in brown trout, rainbow trout and salmon. For quiet fly-fishing surrounded by lush forests, escape to one of the many nearby creeks or the Colorado River<\/a>, which flows out of Shadow Mountain Lake and into Lake Granby<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Things to Do Near Shadow Mountain Lake<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Pack a picnic and enjoy a peaceful meal in the great outdoors at Pine Beach Picnic Site<\/a>, located along the western shore of Shadow Mountain Lake. For overnight stays, book one of the 75 campsites at Green Ridge Campground<\/a>, situated along the southern shore of the lake, near Shadow Mountain Dam. Nearby AA Barn<\/a> is perfect event venue for family reunions and casual weddings, featuring a rustic barn, picnic tables and views of the Colorado River and surrounding pine forests.
