Unlike Utah, Wyoming seems to make an attempt to come up with colorful and interesting names for its Interstate exits located in the middle of nowhere. This is especially evident along between Buffalo and Gillette, which is fairly empty. Utah, by the way, opts for bland exit names like "Ranch Access" and "Local Access Only." Boring! Another state that uses colorful names for its Interstate highway exits is Nevada (where else can you find Deeth and Starr Valley at the same exit?). Like Wyoming, Nevada is also characterized by long stretches of nothingness. Maybe the Wyoming and Nevada Departments of Transportation saw fit to erect more colorful and descriptive names to keep the drive more interesting?

The 1998 Exit Authority indicates that Exits 102 and 106 do not have names. Maybe I spoke too soon about colorful exit names. However, I was able to find some names from the 1995 DeLorme Atlas & Gazetteer. Unfortunately, I haven't been on since the early 1990s, and I did not take notes on the various exit names.

eulah was recently famous for an episode of COPS filmed at the Summer 1997 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota's Black Hills. In one segment, the Crook County Sheriff shut down a drag race in Beulah. After Beulah, motorists enter South Dakota, heading through the rest of the Black Hills toward the Great Plains.
