U.S. 70 west follows Main Street southwest from Exit 6 into downtown Las Cruces and Picacho Avenue (former U.S. 80). U.S. 85 used to share pavement with U.S. 70 leading north. Del Rey Boulevard stems north from Telshor Boulevard/Northrise Drive nearby through growing suburbs to Exit 9 of Interstate 25.
