Some maps mark Arizona 74 as a temporary route, and this is due to development plans for Lake Pleasant. It is not clear if the current alignment of Arizona 74 is indeed the "future" alignment. A new high occupancy vehicle lane appears as the new
left lane of the freeway just prior to the Arizona Loop
101/Exit 214C interchange. Loop 101 traffic exits to the

The Loop 101/Interstate 17 interchange is a symmetrical
stack interchange. The bottom of the interchange is Loop
101, even though Interstate 17 was in place here first.

Almost immediately after the Arizona Loop 101 interchange,
southbound Interstate 17 meets Exits 214B-A, Yorkshire
Drive and Union Hills Drive. The subway passes underneath
the transition ramp from Arizona Loop 101 to southbound
Interstate 17. The exits for these two routes is found
via a dual freeway that carries Interstate 17 through
