Interstate 15 North
Interstate 15 travels two miles north from Sulphurdale to junction Interstate 70 in southern Millard County. Interstate 70 stems east from Exit 132 to Richfield, Salina, and Green River on its 232.15-mile journey through the state of Utah. Photo taken 10/18/04.

The eastbound beginning of Interstate 70 departs Interstate 15 north at Exit 132. An original button copy guide sign, since replaced, includes Fillmore as a northbound control city for Interstate 15. Interstate 70 travels between Cove Fort, Utah and Baltimore, Maryland. Interstate 15 northbound at the Exit 135 diamond interchange with Utah 161 south (old U.S. 91) and Black Rock Road west. Utah 161 flows southeast to Cove Fort nearby. About 42 miles north of the Interstate 70 interchange is the first junction with U.S. 50, which travels west to Delta, then becomes the "Nation's Loneliest Road" through central Nevada, serving Great Basin National Park, Ely, Austin, Eureka, and Fallon. U.S. 50 east joins Interstate 15 north on a bypass around Holden, then splits from Interstate 15 at Exit 188 (Scipio). Photo taken by Casey Cooper, 07/08/05.
Even further north, Interstate 15 meets U.S. 6, which is the historic alignment of U.S. 50 prior to 1971. Between Exits 248 and 257, U.S. 6 east merges with Interstate 15 north. At Exit 257, U.S. 6 turns east toward Spanish Fork (Junction U.S. 89). Continuing southeast, U.S. 6 travels to Helper, where it picks up U.S. 191; the two routes serve Price and then connect with Interstate 70 and U.S. 50 near Green River. U.S. 189 is the next U.S. highway to intersect Interstate 15, and it meets its end in Provo at the freeway junction. Traveling northeast, U.S. 189 passes through Provo Canyon, coming to an end at U.S. 40 in Heber City, a distance of only about 25 miles. However, U.S. 189 silently merges onto westbound U.S. 40 and eastbound Interstate 80 en route to Evanston, Wyoming, where it becomes signed once again. Interstate 15 South

The eastbound beginning of Interstate 70 leaves Interstate 15 south at Exit 132. Interstate 70 ends 2,153 miles to the east at the city of Baltimore. The freeway follows the U.S. 50 corridor from Richland east to Grand Junction and the U.S. 40 corridor from Denver east to Baltimore. Business Loop Interstate 15 & Utah 160 depart Interstate 15 at Exit 112 for the town of Beaver. The loop follows 1400 North and Main Street 3.8 miles south through downtown Beaver. Traffic interests to Utah 21 (Center Street) west or Utah 153 (200 North) must use the business loop as their is no direct access from the Interstate. Utah 21 begins in Beaver and travels 107 miles west to Minersville, Milford, Garrison and the Nevada state line. Utah 153 constitutes a 21-mile spur east from Beaver to the Elk Meadows Ski Resort.
