Interstate 10 Westbound - La Paz County

The guide to Interstate 10 is divided into several pages:

Perspective from Westbound Interstate 10 in La Paz County, from Exit 69 to the California State Line/Colorado River
Westbound Interstate 10 approaching Exit 69, Avenue 75E, one mile. As of April 2008, all of the signs on this page were replaced with new Clearview signs. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Westbound Interstate 10 at Exit 69, Avenue 75E. This is the first exit for Interstate 10 in La Paz County, which is evidenced by the change in nomenclature for the road from numbered avenues (such as 411th Avenue) to a county route system based on mileage (such as Avenue 75E). Photo taken 05/25/03.
Westbound Interstate 10 approaching Exit 53, Hovatter Road, one mile. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Mileage sign along westbound Interstate 10 approaching Exit 45, Junction To Arizona 72/Vicksburg Road, six miles. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Westbound Interstate 10 approaching Exit 45, To Arizona 72/Vicksburg Road, one mile. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Westbound Interstate 10 approaching Exit 45, Vicksburg Road, one-half mile. Northbound Vicksburg Road leads to U.S. 60 and Arizona 72 at Vicksburg. For travelers en route to Parker and Vidal Junction (and points west along California 62), this exit is recommended. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Although obscured by a truck, this photo shows westbound Interstate 10 at Exit 45, To Arizona 72/Vicksburg Road. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Lest there be any thoughts to the contrary, there are not many exits along westbound Interstate 10 between Buckeye and Quartzsite. This mileage sign is located after Exit 45, and the next exit is Exit 31, Junction U.S. 60, some 14 miles ahead. Photo taken 05/25/03.

Westbound Interstate 10 approaching Exit 31, Junction Eastbound U.S. 60. U.S. 60 leads northeast to meet U.S. 93 and Arizona 71 in the vicinity of Wickenburg. U.S. 93 leads northwest to Kingman and Las Vegas, while Arizona 71 leads northeast to meet Arizona 89 at Congress. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Westbound Interstate 10 at Exit 31, Junction Eastbound U.S. 60. This marks the western terminus of U.S. 60; it used to continue parallel (along with truncated U.S. 70) to Interstate 10 to Downtown Los Angeles via Blythe and Indio. Photo taken 05/25/03.
View of the signage at the top of the exit ramp from westbound Interstate 10 to eastbound U.S. 60. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Westbound Interstate 10 approaching Exit 26, Gold Nugget Road, one mile. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Westbound Interstate 10 at Exit 26, Gold Nugget Road. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Just like the signage present along Interstate 8 as it enters the vicinity of Gila Bend, the only signage for the business loop into Quartzsite are present on the blue guide signs. Maybe this is because La Paz County is served by the same Arizona DOT district as Maricopa County. it may also have to do with the fact that Exit 17 also is signed for connections to U.S. 95 and Arizona 95. Photo taken 05/25/03.
The next two exits (Exit 19 and Exit 17) lead into Quartzsite. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Westbound Interstate 10 approaching Exit 19, Junction Southbound U.S. 95, Westbound Business Loop I-10, and Northbound Arizona 95. Business Loop I-10 provides the connection to Arizona 95/U.S. 95 as well as connect the freeway to the town of Quartzsite. U.S. 95 leads south to Yuma and San Luis Colorado, while Arizona 95 leads north to Lake Havasu City and Topock. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Yes, Exit 19 also leads into the town of Quartzsite (in addition to the venues served by Arizona 95 and U.S. 95). Photo taken 05/25/03.
Westbound Interstate 10 at Exit 19, Junction Westbound Business Loop I-10 (unsigned), Northbound Arizona 95, and Southbound U.S. 95. From here, Northbound U.S. 95 merges onto Interstate 10 west across the Colorado River into California. U.S. 95 splits from Interstate 10 in Blythe, connects with Interstate 40 to bypass Needles, then heads due north to Las Vegas. Photo taken 05/25/03.
The next exit is the return of Business Loop I-10 to Interstate 10 in west Quartzsite. This photo was taken along westbound approaching Exit 17. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Westbound Interstate 10 approaching Exit 17, Junction Eastbound Business Loop I-10, one-half mile. Note the pedestrian bridge across the freeway, which seems out of place vis-a-vis the rural desert landscape. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Westbound Interstate 10 at Exit 17, Junction Eastbound Business Loop I-10, Quartzsite. U.S. 95 enters the westbound freeway here, thus beginning the last Interstate/U.S. route merger along Interstate 10 westbound. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Westbound Interstate 10 and northbound U.S. 95 approaching Exit 11, Dome Rock Road, one mile. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Westbound Interstate 10 and northbound U.S. 95 at Exit 11, Dome Rock Road. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Westbound Interstate 10 and northbound U.S. 95 approaching Exit 5, Tom Wells Road. Photo taken 05/25/03.
Westbound Interstate 10 and northbound U.S. 95 at Exit 5, Tom Wells Road. By taking this exit and making a right past the truck stop, highway explorers can reach an original section of U.S. 60-70, including an old 1930s-era bridge. Photo taken 05/25/03.
